The Lauren Elise Memorial Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of individuals who each bring their own strengths, talents, and abilities to fulfill the mission of our organization.
Our board members receive no compensation, and work 100% on a volunteer basis.
Mark Hilsheimer
Co-Founder and Chairman
Mark is co-founder and chairman of the Lauren Elise Memorial Foundation. He is a dedicated, loving husband and father of two, including his daughter Lauren, who passed on from this Earth in July, 2011 from post-operative complications, following surgery to treat Hypoplastic Right Ventricle.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Mark resides with his family in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area where he serves as Vice President of Power Dyne Inc, a Tulsa based manufacturing company. As Lauren's father, he spent three years passionately seeking critical medical care, researching and choosing world-class cardiology and cardio-thoracic surgical teams located at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Mark is dedicated to honoring Lauren's legacy by raising critical funds to support the medical community in the advancement of early detection, intervention, and research, as well as treatment and care for CHD kids and their families. It is his vision and mission to help prevent other families from experiencing the devastating loss his family has experienced.
Kirsten Hilsheimer
Co-Founder and Vice Chairman
Kirsten is co-founder and vice-chairman of the Lauren Elise Memorial Foundation. She is a loving wife and mother of two beautiful children, including her daughter Lauren, who passed on from this Earth in July, 2011 from post-operative complications, following surgery to treat Hypoplastic Right Ventricle.
Kirsten and her family reside in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area where she works as a Speech-Language Pathologist both in the Jenks Public School system and at St. John Medical Center. Kirsten graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2001 and received her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Tulsa in 2002. As Lauren's mother, she devoted her life to the health and well- being of her daughter by managing her medical care, becoming an advocate for CHD through multiple local organizations, and providing Lauren every opportunity possible to have a joyful and happy life. It is her mission to preserve Lauren's memory and battle against CHD through the establishment of this foundation.
Dan Schaudt
Director and Treasurer
Dan serves as a Director and Treasurer for the Lauren Elise Memorial Foundation. He is a husband and the proud father of two daughters. Dan is a trusted friend and advisor to the Hilsheimer family
Dan graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Funeral Service. A successful entrepreneur, Dan is owner and director of Schaudt's Funeral Service of Glenpool, OK. He is currently a member of the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association Disaster Team, and previously served as President and board member for the Glenpool Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Glenpool Public Schools Academic Foundation for Excellence, member of the City of Glenpool Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment. Dan gracefully served as the funeral director for Lauren's service, caring for her and the Hilsheimer family with great love and compassion.
Yvette Hart
Director
Yvette serves as a Director for the Lauren Elise Memorial Foundation. She is a loving wife and mother of two boys, as well as a trusted friend to the Hilsheimer Family. She knew Lauren well and loved her deeply.
A licensed Oklahoma attorney, Yvette is a certified mediator in family and domestic matters, and certified translator/interpreter. Yvette graduated cum laude from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She then graduated with her juris doctor from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2002. She has worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Tulsa County, and now works in the private sector as an associate with Strecker & Associates, P.C. She is also the owner and operator of Hart Bilingual Services, LLC.
Amber Larsen
Director and Secretary
Amber serves as a Director and Secretary for the Lauren Elise Memorial Foundation. She is a loving wife and active stay-at-home mom. She is a close friend to the Hilsheimer family and has dedicated a tremendous amount of support and time to help the Hilsheimer family through this difficult time.
Amber received her Bachelor's degree in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University in 2000. She has taught in local school districts, and worked in corporate revenue accounting. Amber is an active member of the community serving on various committees with the Jenks Public School PTAG. She is also an active member of the South Tulsa Baptist Church, and serves as chairman for the Habitat for Humanity annual gala.
